Absolute disaster (as also noted by the overall majority of those posting to the blog)
Full of pointless large graphics and no regular layout so that one knows where to go instantlly and seemingly no way of choosing what one sees/doesn't see.
Many posters on the blog have suggested going to http://www.bbc.co.uk/news instead as a start page as this almost looks like the old one.

The whole thing looks like so much of the BBCs output these days, a lot of shouting but no style. Still what's the use of commenting.......the organisation we once knew as the BBC will continue to trash anything of quality in the name of convenience and cost cutting. Professional website designers must be weeping at another loss of the possibilities for a website which should reflect and celebrate the great output of so many talented people in a once great organisation.

A bit of a rainbow yawn isn't it?
It's also not customise-able, which makes it lose objectivity. Also -a third of the first carousel page is devoted to sport.
I have got round this problem by converting the BBC News page as my homepage-with tabs for Radio 2 and 4 which are the sites I look at most.
