"RadioToday" has a tribute to Andy Ball who has died.

"BBC Radio Merseyside has announced the death of former presenter and reporter Andy Ball who worked at the station for almost 30 years.

The station posted the news on Facebook, saying: “He loved the river and enjoyed nothing more than getting out into the communities right across the whole of Merseyside.

“We will miss him dearly and send all our love and condolences to his wife Lynn and family.”RadioToday has been sent this tribute by a former colleague: “The patience and kindness that he showed to both listeners and colleagues was second to none. His kindness and welcoming character often meant that he carried out training of new staff members, include those using the radio car."
